Christmas at DEC
We extend a warm invitation to all to come and join us at our meetings and take time to think about the real meaning of Christmas - that Jesus, God’s Son, came into the world as a baby to be our Saviour.
Come and find out more about what this means on Sunday 19th December, 6.30pm at our Carol Service or on Christmas day at 10.00am. We would love to see you.
Of course you are also welcome to attend our other regular meetings aswell.

King’s Club at Christmas
King’s Club at Christmas is planned for Saturday 19th December from 10.00 am to 12 noon. Bring your children along for fun, games, stories and songs while you get some of that last minute Christmas shopping done. Then come and join us for mince pies and mulled wine tea at 11.30 am before you take them home! For children in Reception to Year 6.
Kings Club Light Party
Following on the success of the Kings Club in the summer we are planning to hold a Light Party on Saturday 31st October, 5.30 - 7.00pm. We are hoping that all those children who came along in the summer will come back with their parents for some more fun, games, food and prizes.
Of course everyone is welcome to join in. We hope that there will be plenty of children from Friday Club and WAY Club joining in too. Bring a pocket torch if you can. No fancy dress please. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Church Meal
On Saturday 10th October we enjoyed a lovely meal together. Those present were able to enjoy a good old pie and peas supper followed by fruit crumble and custard! It was also good to have Alan visiting us from Middlesbrough who gave a short talk on the inspiring life of Andrew Bonar.
Kings Club
It was great to see so many children joining us for the Kings Club this year. Our theme was the life of Bible character Joseph. As well as being an exciting story it also helped us learn a lot about God - how He was with Joseph, even in the most difficult times, and can be with us too.
There was drama, singing, crafts, games, quizzes and prizes. On Thursday evening parents were allowed to join in too and it was good to see a lot of new faces coming in from the local community.
Summer is here!
Summer is here and it will be a busy time at Doncaster Evangelical Church! The children’s clubs will all be putting on special summer-time events in the run up to the school holidays such as the Friday Club sleepover, the young people’s weekend away and all the usual end of term barbecues (weather permitting!).
We are also beginning to get ready for The Kings Club. This is our holiday Bible club which, this year, is Monday 17th to Friday 21st August. You can click here to find out more details or how you can pre-register your child.
