Youth
As well as Sunday School, we have a number of meetings for children and young people which take place throughout the week during term time. We take the safety of children and young people very seriously and have a Child Protection Policy in force.
Jellytots
Jellytots is our parent and toddler group which takes place on Tuesday mornings (9.45 am - 11.15 am) during term time. A good number of parents and child minders from the local area come along each week to enjoy a cup of tea and a chat while the children play. There is always a craft activity for the children which fits in with the Bible story for that week.
The WAY Club
The WAY Club (Wentworth Area Youth) is a youth club for local children aged nine to fourteen where they can come and enjoy football in the car park, pool, table tennis, table football, craft activities and of course the tea towel game! There is also a well-stocked tuck shop open throughout the evening. The evening always ends with a short talk or story from the Bible.
The WAY Club runs on Thursdays during term time from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm. Children wishing to join the club must return a registration form signed by a parent or guardian. The membership roll fluctuates and occasionally there may be a waiting list.
Friday Club
On Fridays! Fun packed evenings for children in school years 3 to 6, from 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm during term time. Water parties, cowboy sleepovers, barbeques and crazy games. Parents even get to join in too sometimes! The evening always finishes with a short story from the Bible.
Young People’s Group
On alternate Saturdays, 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm, for young people of secondary school age. After a short talk or Bible study which is the focus of the evening, our young people enthusiastically participate in a planned activity, competition or ludicrous game! Highlight of the year is our Weekend Away at Knock in the Lake District where we can focus at more depth on a theme from the Bible and enjoy outdoor activities.
